While taking about the device, lets start with the Package,

LEAGOO Shark 1 Packaging

As most of companies has started following a trend to make the outer box as simpler as they can. IT just creates a curiosity among the buyers. Here also its the same, but once you open the box, the bigger Shark 1 sits at the top followed by a changer, micro USB cable,  a screen protector with a cloth to clean up the display, an user manual to get started with and a premium headset. Everything is neatly packed and fitted inside of the box – almost a premium packaging.

Design – LEAGOO Shark 1

Shark 1 covers out of quality poly-carbonate plastic and aluminum alloy on the side and back of the device. The device is available in three different colors, twilight blue, starlight silver and champagne gold. Considering its 6-inch display, it is a lot smaller than models of competing companies. Dimensions of this phone are 158.6×82.8×8.5 mm. On the other side, the weight of this device is pretty big, and it stands 240.9 grams.

When we look the device at the front, at the top of the display, you can see the front shooter, light sensor and an LED for notifications. As the phone is bigger, company has tried to use most of the device’s area to the display, so instead of capacitive buttons, there is required OnScreen buttons that appear when you start using the device.

On the top of the side panel, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and IR port, On the back side of the phone, you will find fingerprint sensor and a decent 13MP camera with dual LED flash. In the center of the back, there is a Leagoo logo and, below the removable cover, there is a speaker grill.

Display – LEAGOO Shark 1

To make the device’s display brighter and appealing, company has tied up with LG to achieve that. The Shark 1 Display provides 30% more brightness than a standard LCD and, it will reduce power consumption by 20%.

It has great viewing angles and superb contrast so that you can enjoy using your phone in direct sunlight and other lighting conditions. This display has pleasant looking colors and a respectable pixel density 368PPI. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is resistant to scratches. The 2.5D curve is applied to the glass, as it is standard these days.

LEAGOO Shark 1 – Performance and Memory

In terms of hardware aspects, the Shark 1 is able to beat most of the mid range devices in the market as the device is not only having the bigger display and powerful battery, it also packs MediaTek’s 64-bit Octa-Core Soc with a processing speed of 1.3 GHz coupled with Mali T760 Graphics. Its 3GB DDR3 RAM onboard makes processors tasks easier to offer better performance. LEAGOO Shark 1 – Camera

Leagoo Shark 1 packs decent camera performance. It is equipped with Sony’s 13MP BSI-2 sensor camera on the back and 5MP camera for selfies, and HD video calls on the front. This wide-angle primary camera offers smooth performance with its five lenses and large f2.0 aperture.

I have seen many of the Chinese device fails to offer better camera performance even after having 16 MP camera sensor but quite impressively the Shark 1 is able to meet the consumers expectations by offering them a better and sharper details of each images. When it comes to low light shooting, it disappoints a bit but overall, I love the device’s camera. Below are few camera samples taken from the device.
