While at the software side, it gets the most updated Android Nougat that also attracting the user to experience this high end device. As almost all the Android lovers know about the features of Android N but still there are few things that a rooted device can do not the one running stock Android. So I thought to share this tutorial that talks about how to root Huawei Mate 9 and use the device to the upmost level with the root privilege.

Things to be done:

  1. As most of the OEM doesn’t prefer to root their device, so you have to everything at your own risk, as it violates the warranty.  Also, we at GadgetUnlocker always recommend to follow the steps mentioned down the line carefully to avoid any damage. We are not liable to any such damage if occurs.
  2. You should have set up ADB on your PC before doing this procedure. Search Google to do so.
  3. As the above step will unlock your device’s bootloader, that helps you flash custom ROM on it.
  4. This should also flash a custom recovery on your device.
  5. Also this method work only for the listed models: MHA-L29XXX, MHA-L09XXX, MHA-AL00XXX, and MHA-TL01XXX. If you have model other than that, please don’t follow this.

I followed the intructions, but after the reset following the bootloader unlocking and doing the command fastboot reboot it just says and nothing happens. On the phone it said “reset failed” and rebooted. Then it asked for a password but the keyboard won’t show up. In the eRecovery there’s no option to factory reset and erecovery doesn’t work either. So now I’m stuck with an unlocked device that I can’t log into. Any ideas on how to work around this?
