Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro to Pack 4GB RAM, 16MP Camera, GFX Benchmark report

A two week ago, there was talk that the Samsung working on another variant of the Galaxy A9 2016, named Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. Previously, the A9 Pro was revealed by the customs data that the phone with SM-A9100 model number which entered in the Indian market for testing.

Now the Samsung’s Galaxy A9 Pro recently spotted on GFXBench database, that reveals some spec of the phone. According to the GFXBench, the Galaxy A9 Pro comes with 5.5-inch display, but this doesn’t make sense. Because the A9 2016 features a 6-inch display while the Galaxy A7 2016 has 5.5-inch display panel.

Other specs of the phone sound good, a 64-bit Octa-core CPU which clocks at 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 and Qualcomm’s chipset, probably Snapdragon 652 under the hood. It has 4 GB of RAM inside while the plain Galaxy A9 as 3 GB of RAM. It has 16 megapixels camera on the back side with 4,608 x 3,456 pixels of resolution. The image posted by the GFXBench indicates that it will have Sony IMX298 sensor on rear camera, which used in Huawei Mate 8.  It has 8 megapixels camera on the front side for selfies and video chats with 3,264 x 2,448 pixels.

That’s all there is to know so far on the Galaxy A9 Pro (with a 2016 model year thrown in there somewhere, possibly), but by the looks of things, the smartphone is headed for official announcement in the coming weeks, and we’ll keep you posted.
