The Gear 360 features two cameras housed into a spherical shaped body and the sphere is held on a tripod, which looks like a mini robot. The Gear 360 is capable of capturing video at 3840 x 1920 resolutions at 30 frames per second and to view the video just swipe around the phone.

As the Gear 360 is very high-end camera the company is offering the Gear 360 with 128GB of storage capacity via micro SD card and which is considerably enough. And as the device is certified by IP53, it is dust and splash proof, but the device is not waterproof you can’t actually take the Gear 360 into the water.

The company is actually trying to set a virtual reality environment with Gear 360 camera to help users to create content for Gear VR headsets. And the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners will be able to directly download the footage on the phones and can also view the live feed.

The company has not yet revealed the price of the Gear 360 camera in the US, but in Europe the camera will cost 350 euros and that will be approximate $400.
