If you are a Xiaomi smartphone user, there is something from the newsroom to cheer about. Beginning today, the Chinese maker has begun rolling out the most recent MIUI 8.2 update. And following the typical support policy, the update is available to large number of Xiaomi handsets.
As of now, the custom Android ROM MIUI 8.2, officially managed and supported of Xiaomi is available for Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G.
In the 2nd phase of the update roll out is going to start on February 20 for the devices: Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 3/Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime and Redmi Note 4.
Apart from small small usability improvements, there are some newly added features warpped with the update as well, users now can take complete control of automated task feature and also the OS will now do antivirus scan while installing the apps outside of Google Plat Store.
